Grafting PEG or Aminated silica is pretty simple process.

You can supply a given solution of Aminated Silica with excessive dose of PEG.e.g for 0.5mmol Amincated Silica use 1mmol of PEG

Then you can characterise the obtained sample with FT-IR and AFM. Hope it will help you .
