I am trying to get a proper film of MXenes on silicon or steel but failed.
MXenes are not giving homogenous solutions even after sonication, magnetic string, etc. What should be done in this situation?

MXenes are prepared from the MAX phase Ti3AlC2 by etching the surface of lithium fluoride in hydrochloric acid. You need to get the MXenes dispersed system in various solvents. Carbides are solids and they need to be crushed in diamond crushers. The smaller the particles, the more homogeneous the suspension will be. Perhaps for your purposes, it is suitable to obtain a suspension in a solution of lithium fluoride + hydrochloric acid, and then add a solvent. in such a system, it will be better crushed and the crusher can be made of Teflon. Any silicates will not work. They will dissolve in this solvent. Electrophoresis requires the MXenes to be charged. Therefore, water is best suited for ionization.
