I have a technical grade material is approx. 4 year old. I would like to know how much its been degraded overtime. Basically, I would like to confirm the % purity of the active ingredient content left in it by using Gas Liquid Chromatography.
find the moisture contain/ Loss on drying(LOD) of your sample. calculate the % assay of your sample against your standard reference material.then calculate the
% purity dried basis= assay*100/(100-%water contain or LOD)
% purity as such basis= %assay
Exactly, what i am doing, using DB-5 column it will give me its impurity profile, i have water content and then i could know its exact percent purity after that i will use reference std. Thanks.
