DNA spectrum is ambiguous expression. Me and my colleagues, we for example studied Fourier spectra of cumulated phase DNA signals to examine possibilities of genomic signal downsampling or comparison of whole bacterial genomes.
On the other hand, one of my colleagues used color spectrograms for similar purpose.
In another case, wavelet spectra can be used for exon prediction.
I don't know if there is a versatile Matlab function for DNA spectrum. But first of all, you should figure out what kind of spectrum you need. I believe you'll be able to combine matlab fuction to get the desired result then.
