How to find a suitable post doc in the area of reproductive endocrinology, cancer biology, reproductive disorders etc. Currently I am applying for Post doc positions but no reply from scientist I don't know why.
Reproductive area may be too competitive since it has become saturated after IVF clinics got involved, this is my wild guess. But in Cancer area you may have better luck. In any case, try both of them.
Best way is to write good letter of introduction and relating your area or techniques to the lab PI of your interest. and a copy of resume, preferably copy of 2 representative papers,
You may need to write to many PIs who has a spot. Do not get discouraged if you get "no".
Also keep track of NIH funding dates and CIHR funding dates, when people are likely to hire. Look into every institute's site and see career or job opportunities.
