I have recently performed Impedance spectroscopy of  ferroelectric Bi4Ti3O12 thin films on platinum, the cole-cole plot of which can be seen in the attached figure. I  was expecting a single semi-circle, however the irregularly semi circle faces in the negative z' region rather than the positive.

I am currently looking for a reason to explain this phenomena. I have tested the apparatus using standard (RC) circuits and found only regular semicircle cole-cole plots. If anyone could help me explain this irregularity, or correct it, I would be very grateful.

I have experience with Impedance spectroscopy of (RC) circuits but not ferroelectric ones. However from my literature reviews, they appear to behave as normal capacitors, which I expect is due to the measuring signal being significantly smaller than the coercive field. If anyone could correct or further my knowledge on this as well, I would again be grateful.
