I am designing a reflectarray unit cell in HFSS, I am using Floquet port for excitation purposes.
I have a couple of questions related to Floquet port modes
1. I want to use TE10 mode for excitation. I have used the Mode calculator to determine the modes. From the mode calculated it is found that TE10 mode is the 10th mode, how I can choose this mode. Because when I check TE10 mode for mesh refinement, I give unexpected results ( more than +20 dB valueS for return loss for different 'incident angles)
2. The mode calculator also gives some negative modes like TE-11, TM-11, TE0-1, etc/ What are these modes, and how we interpret them.

You can use any mode, by checking the corresponding box, you can use the coefficients in subscript (n, m) that you want to have. to clarify more check the picture bellow
Also for better understanding the others modes with negative subscript (n,m),
you should read some papers related to floquet theory, like the attached papaer bellow,
