I determining the dielectric constant of textile through waveguide method by using NRW algorithm. According to the theory there use to be some spontaneous peaks when the thickness of the material being tested becomes equal to the integral multiple of half-wavelength in that material. The samples in my experiment are very thin that they are not full filling the half-wavelength condition, but i am still getting these peaks. What could be the possible reason of these peaks in very thin material.
