How to do a "pH effects" study on Gold nanoparticles synthesis?

I am synthesizing gold nanoparticles using HAuCl4, Ascorbic Acid (reducing agent) and PVP (caping agent). I want to do a study on pH effects on gold nanoparticles synthesis. How can I make systems of different pH(s) and should I be using buffers or acids and alkalis for pH maintenance?

Dear just use NaOH and HCl for pH studies. set pH 1-10 by using NaOH or HCL and then then check pH effect on particle size.
