How should I begin my discussion when my study yielded negative results? Also, does the size of the host matter, the season as well as the water quality affect the presence of parasite in freshwater shrimp? if anyone knows of any published research on freshwater shrimp parasitology that have negative results, please let me know.

This is the whole problem with publications - it is very difficult to get H0 results published. People generally do not want to read this - they only want to read about new discoveries. Perhaps the answer is rather than focusing on non-relationships it would be better to focus on trying to find out more subtle relationships by using larger sample sizes.
Hi, i am not a specialist in your field. However, in my / my students own research respective to our fields, negative results are not uncommon. Remember, there are no right or wrong answers in research. What you find is what you find. Many times what you discover can/may be totally different from what you initially hoped to find out. Hence this becomes a discovery on its own. If your 'negative' result is 'statistically significant', then it should be seen as a key finding.
