I am planning to conduct a questionnaire survey to find the important factors that affect the driver capability to understand the variable massage signs VMS and follow the instructions correctly. To conduct this survey, I want to develop a simple video which represents a VMS and some cars moving at signalized intersection to show it to the drivers and then ask them some questions. but I have no idea how to develop this video.
Dear Khaled, from my opinion this survey is more likely a roadside interview (RSI) survey with some modification required to do so. The RSI is very common to investigate OD. You would like to investigate the important factors affecting the driver capability in understanding VMS as well as to view VMS it self. Logically you may use 2 cameras to capture cars movement and to record the VMS simultaneously. Set the time of those both cameras accurately before making investigation.
