Hi everyone, i'm student in Master's degree of public health and actually i'm preparing my thesis that focus on the incidence of primary brain tumors between 2003-2016. In order to perform the trend analysis, i use the Jointpoint regression software but i notice that i have to determine the minimum number of observation from Jointpoint ti either end of data and the minimum number of observation between jointpoint. what these two means exactely? and is there any formula to determine them? or i have just to use th default number?

I hope someone can help me! thanks
