I am using Ansys fluent. DOM/Energy equation is to be used. Is ray tracing by anther software like ZEMAX or Soltrace need to be done or can I do it in Ansys itself. And import the direction and magnitude to fluent?
when you use DO model (used for solar energy) , you can input it manually by calculate it or by use UDF
Abbas J Jubear Sir the magnitude of solar flux intensity is ok, we can obtain from fluent database for a particular latitud and longitude. How to determine the direction of ray. Also if I am using a concentrator, the magnitude itself is different.

can you tell to me when can i use the DO/enrgy coupling ? I found that : if optical thikness is greater than 10 I have to activate it, but I dont know how calculate the optical thikness?
Otherwise when I activate (Do / enrgy coupling) the results would be unaccessable and not logical according to my data.
