I am doing a topology optimization of heat transfer problem. The results give a good correlation to the optimization goal.
Yet, if we take a 2D-axisymetrric geomerty (attached). The result of the simulaton shows regions that are on the upper part of the object (marked)
How to set the topology optimization problem so that the optimization occur in the direction of the arrow?
Hi. Can I ask why you want to control your topopt like that, instead of letting it go free? Anyway, in general the density field goes between 0 and 1, so in the region with your arrow you can, for each step, calculated the gradient of the variable dtopo1.theta and that will give you the direction, and you will then have to manipulate your setup according to this direction (something needs to change in your equation). If it is only in that particular region you want to do this for you need logical expressions to define this region, or alternative make two regions; the corner region with its own rules, and the rest will the normal approach.

I Am working on soft topological spaces. On these spaces the direction is not necessarily important. The elements of the sets are all soft elements so making the topology a soft topological spaces.
