Dear researchers,

I want to conduct a mediation analysis with the PROCESS macro in SPSS, but I have some difficulties with the assumptions.

I do not have normality and even after transforming or deleting variables it is not fulfilled. But since the bootstrapping method is quite robust and nonparametric I think that is acceptable. Am I right with that?

I do have heteroscedasticity, but I used HC4 as heteroscedasticity-consistent standard error estimator. Hence, it is fine as well.

I do not have autocorrelation.

But I do have non-linearity. How can I deal with this problem? Can I still proceed with my analysis despite non-linearity?

And are these the only assumptions that need to be fulfilled for mediation?

Thank your very much for your help inn advance.
