I'm working on estimation the content of total phenolic compounds in olive leaves (methanolic extract), the result I'm getting based on gallic acid calibration curve is in mg/ml , how to convert to mg/g ?
(I used 100 µl of diluted methanolic extract
, 2.5ml of 10% folin reagent
and 2.5ml of 7.5% sodium carbonate)
first of all,what is the weight of your sample? if it is 200 mg, then multiply your value of mg/ml by 5. this will give you the total phenol content in mg per gram me of tissue.

the extract weight is 500 mg , so the density of the solvent ( methanol) is not important here ?

Yes, you don't need to want the density of the solvent. If you know the concentration and its volume, you can calculate the amount of analyte using (X mg/mL*5.1 mL). The total weight of your sample is 500 mg. You final result is 5.1X mg/500 mg.
