Hi all,

I have a transfer matrix of an optical system (dxd complex matrix, with d = number of modes/dimension), describing how spatial modes get transferred to other modes through this system. Now I use the initial spatial modes as the basis for a quantum information system and want to calculate the process matrix from the given transfer matrix. Does anyone know how to convert this? Or read a paper that talks about it? Feel free to ask more questions if something is unclear.
