I have avidin coated silicon surface. I want to conjugate "Fluorescein Biotin" to that. I have obtained "Fluorescein Biotin" from http://www.scbt.com/datasheet-214340-Fluorescein-Biotin.html

I am thinking to follow the following approach to conjugate my sample.

1) Making a concentrated bulk solution of "Fluorescein Biotin" using DI water. (Stored at -20C)

2) Taking a small amount from the concentrated bulk solution and diluting it to lower concentrations such as 200ug/ml or less.

3) Incubating the silicon coated surfaces in the 200ug/ml solution of "Fluorescein Biotin" in PBS buffer (dark environment for 1 hour).

4) Measurement of the chips for fluorescence.

Please comment on the approach. Let me know the best possible approach to do this . Also please indicate if you think this approach has some errors or issues.

Appreciated.
