I have modelled a plate that has a certain thickness. Followed it by adding the material properties of composites to the plate, using the ANSYS ACP module. Then a solid body made out of steel is made to impact this plate at a a velocity of 2 m/s. Unfortunately, every time it is solved, it shows absolutely no stresses or deformations on the composite plate. Have looked into the body contacts and tried all the options yet to no avail. What could be reason for such an error? P.S. The impactor penetrates the composite plate after the simulation is run but no values are displayed.
Your contact elements don't work. Try to check contact pair carefully and check main direction of target elements

Try to check the contact pairs properly. and also check the mesh, moreover you initially perform some basic deformation analysis so that you can know where the problem is.
