Normally, UC works on intervals of 1hr, so day ahead UC results can be acheived while ED works on 15min interval. My idea is to do UC for day ahead to find scheduled generators and then do ED for 15 min interval but my problem is related to multi area coordination. If my idea is yet correct, this could create a very complex coordination problem. If my idea is wrong, please guide me and suggest the right way. So how UC and ED should be combined that satisfies the basic concepts of these two?
The coordination between UC and ED is already applied in the same way. You may refer to,

UC already includes ED in its lower level. So, for coordination of multi areas, i just need to do UC for each hour which also gives me ED for each hour too. Right?
Mr Aamir Nawaz , your idea is exactly the same way power plants coordinate with the load dispatch centres. Power plants declare their intended capacity for the day ahead on the basis of which load is scheduled for every 15mins interval.
This problem has been looked at for a while and many day-ahead electricity markets routinely solve this problem as a large-scale mixed integer programming problem. I had written a couple of articles on the topic that
