I did BSA for F2 population. I found 2 coupled markers are linked with Disease resistance. I calculated R square value. Disease resistance variance and linked based on that score. Here how to know the distance between marker and disease resistance locus
cM distances are based on recombination rates, 1% recombination frequence is 1 cM. It is complicated by unequal recombination frequency at different genomic locations (some are recombination hotspot, some are cold spot). It is hard to deduce the 'physical distance' from cM, even you know the location of your maker in the genome.
