Dear All,

I am confusing when calculate crystallinity index (CrI%) of regenerated cellulose.

- I am using X-ray diffraction (XRD) for CrI% detection regenerated cellulose sample. When I reforming dissolved cellulose, three intensity peaks at 12, 21 and 24 degree was detected. The highest intensity peak was observed at 12 degree rather than 21-22 as normal observation at around (16 and 22 degree). Thus, I am confuse, where is the location for CrI% calculation? Should I continue using Segal method to calculate the CrI%?

- Can anyone give suggestions, comments and reference for this type of CrI% calculation that using XRD method? Or should I change the detection method such as WAXD?

Thank you very much for your advice, comments,

Regards

Hai
