I need to create an autocorrelogram in order to calculate the rhythmicity index. This index is described in papers like:

and it is something like what I show in the attached image.

I have some doubts, maybe because I am not understanding it well. In the papers I consult I can see that although it is called autocorrelogram the figure shows in the Y axis the number of neuronal firings in each bin, but there is no reference to the calculation of the autocorrelation at any time. If someone can give me more information about this I would greatly appreciate it.
