Can anyone help me? I have attached two tables including 1 as a supplementary data. I want to learn how Odds ratio and Confidence intervals are calculated in table 2. I have tried many times but didn't understand. Kindly help me.
If I follow, you are asking how to compute the ORs (and CIs) shown in Table 2 from the cross-tabulations shown in Table 1. In Table 2, notice that the last line shows a p-value for the Sex x Vegetarian Diet interaction. This suggests to me that the ORs in Table 2 all come from a single logistic regression model. In other words, the ORs you see in Table 2 are adjusted odds ratios. Using the info in Table 1, you would only be able to compute crude odds ratios. I.e., I don't think there is any way to do what you want to do (without having the raw data). HTH.
