Hi,
I wanna know how to determine the ratio of mixed surfactant? For example, if I have nonionic surfactant (glycolipids) and anionic surfactant, how can I mix them but I want glycolipids in small amount.
Is it I have to consider both of their CMCs and make a stock solution within their CMC? and for ratio to mix up, can I just use ratio of 10 : 1 (anionic : glycolipids) ?
Hope anybody can clear my mind up :)

It depends whether you want to use the surfactants as monomers or micelles. If you want a mixed micellar solution, then prepare equimolar stock solutions of both the glycolipid and the anionic surfactants at a concentration higher than their corresponding CMC. You can then adjust the mole ratio using volume ratio directly. For example if you prepare a 0.05M stock solutions of both surfactants, you can prepare a 9 : 1 (anionic : glycolipids) by mixing 9 mL anionic surfactant stock solution with 1 mL glycolipids stock solution.
