What are the factors required for calculating the safety of landslide and also the easiest method of finding the slip surface of landslide. One can also found it by using electrical resistivity tomography and geotechnical profiling and to conduct bore holes on the landslide. Is there any other method to find the slip surface of landslide?
Hi Ali any slope stability analysis will provide Factor of Safety. Both saturated and unsaturated shear strength parameters, bulk density, porosity, hydraulic conductivity, rainfall amount etc are important to analyse rainfall induced shallow landslides
Softwares like SLOPE/W can identify slip surface by changing input parameters
