I am trying to calculate energy consumption during the pyrolysis process of MSW. I have the components of this MSW like:
char, C, O, H, N, lignin, protein, cellulose, Lost by volatilization...
I have found some formulas that ask energy to heat dried biomass or energy to decompose biomass, but that is also other information that I do not know how to calculate.
Please let me know if you a paper that explains how to calculate energy consumption or there is a specific formula?

The analysis you are missing on this list is the heating value analysis. It is cheaper and easier to obtain than most of the others. From this and the elemental composition you should be able to calculate the heat of formation of the fuel and of the char. From these you can calculate the energy consumption (heat of reaction) of pyrolysis, at least at standard room temperature. This can be adjusted to any temperature if you know the heat capacities of the materials.
The higher heating value (HHV) or lower (LHV) can be calculated from the elemental composition of each sample. The equation (eq - 1) and (eq - 2) is developed by Friedl et al. (2005).
HHV (MJ.kg-1) = -1.3675 + 0.3137% C + 0.7009% H + 0.0318% O (eq - 1)
The lower heating value is determined according to the formula:
LHV (MJ.kg-1) = HHV- mH2O * L H2O (eq - 2)
With: mH2O: mass of water produced by the combustion of 1 kg of fuel, we have:
mH2O= W0/100 + H/100 (eq - 3)
W0: Relative humidity (%)
H: the percentage of hydrogen in the fuel
LH2O: latent heat of condensation of water.
For T = 0 ° C and P = 1.013 bar. We have LH2O = -2.486 MJ.kg-1
