Can someone advise me on the best way to store shark's tissue for heavy metal analysis without freezing?
In fact, I have to sample shark's tissue from some African countries for heavy (trace) metals analysis, due to the time that the shipping can take, I don't want to freeze those tissues before freeze-drying in my lab.
What about aluminium foil uses?
Kindly let me know the best or useful protocol.

I do not understand why you do not want to freeze the samples. The heavy metals will not be altered or metabolized. Not freezing will allow microbial growth and rotting, which however will also not alter the heavy metals. But the remaining material might not be very pleasant to work with in the lab.

C.A. (Kees) Kan Sir, I want to freeze them. My concern is to as much as possible avoid the defrosting of these sample during their shipping. I am sampling from different countries where I will not be myself otherwise I would have chosen Mohammad Aghaei 's suggested method (use of liquid nitrogen tank).
What about the use of aluminium foil for wrapping the sample?

So a few points- not exactly knowing what you intend to do-.
Freezing and defrosting may alter cell integrity and cell components may leak out and be metabolized, but the heavy metals will not be affected.
I would store samples in closed plastic bags preferably in CO2 or N2 gas to minimize microbial growth and biological deterioration. Aluminium foil would not be my first choice as often it is quite fragile.
If you would abstain from freezing you can also consider storing the samples in solvents like alcohol or formalin to prevent microbial growth. This would alter the rest of the sample but not the heavy metals.

Grégoire Moutardier , I am a bit little concerned about it even if in the literature some authors mentioned ethanol doesn't affect much the composition of the samples.
Others suggested that I should dry and keep in ethanol to compare the result. My budget can't allow having a look at these.

Sir Zaib Ullah can you kindly provide me with the protocol to get such PBS buffer? It is the first time I am reading such preservative for Organic sample.
Does it useful to store sample to be analyzed for SIA and heavy metal? These samples should be lyophilized before sending them to the lab?

Physiologically Buffered Saline (PBS) is to the best of my knowledge mainly used in lab work to prevent the rupture of cells as the solution is isotonic with the cell content. When supplemented with an energy source like sucrose, it will certainly allow microbial growth in the longer term unless sufficient sodium azide is added to prevent this.
As most of the heavy metal ions accumulated in tissues, so there is no chance to leach out easily by freezing the tissue sample. So, yo must freeze the sample to prevent microbial growth on it.

Thank you Krishna Kumari Swain for your help. What to do when the samples can't be delivered by the next day and the carrier in my place doesn't use isotherme boxes even though they have been frozen before?
I find that the best solution is freezing since thawing will not influence the heavy metal content.
Aluminum should also be avoided as it can contaminate tissue, especially if it is to be analyzed.
