I am doing electrocatalysis, OER. I did Chronoamperometry, and tried with and without RDE setup. In both cases, In the working electrode Bubble formation, was there. How to avoid this?
I am getting a chronoamperometry graph after 1h (electrocatalysis starts) current value increases, then decreases, again steady state, and repeated after 30 min once.
I am using ametek potentiostat.
May I know about this?

Thank you so much for your reply. I understood your point. But i have one doubt.once you set after-onset potential, how lower current is possible? in LSV, as the OER starts, the Current Value will increase correct?
I tried 5 mA/cm2 and 10 mA/cm2 corresponding potential as input for chronoamperometry. Evolution of O2 gas more. yes, it should be. it is not leaving the surface of the working electrode, even I rotate the electrode.
Promote gentle stirring or flowing of the electrolyte solution during the experiment. This can help dislodge or prevent the formation of bubbles on the electrode surface. However, ensure that the stirring or flow rate is not too vigorous, as it may create turbulence and disrupt the measurement.

thank you so much, sir. I tried J at 2 for chronoamperometry.initially first 1h I didn't face any problems after 1h bubble size increased and doesn't leave the surface of the working electrode. I stirred the electrolyte/electrode (RDE) and checked. same issue. continuously purge Ar gas also, I couldn't resolve this issue. The current value dropped then reached a steady state again drop in current.....
one doubt sir, how to modify the catalyst with the aerophobic property?
