I am trying to do an optimization of an axial flow pump using ANSYS. the optimization flowchart in ANSYS Workbench is shown in the figure below.
the problem I am facing is how to automate BladeGen and CFX-pre to generate different geometries.
does anyone have an idea on how to do this?

Bladegen cannot create different geometries in an optimization procedure because it doesn't have the so-called "parameters" feature.
To perform the parametrization, create the geometry in Bladegen then export it to DesignModeler, where it's possible to parametrize the geometry dimensions and insert them in the optimization process.
Search for optimization ANSYS CFX on youtube and you should be able to find more info.

I agree with Mattos's comment. Since the ANSYS Workbench does not support automation, each set for optimization should be processed manually.
Here, software so-called HEEDS enables automation with CFX and Excel. In my experience, if you're in a situation where you can just focus on the outcomes, it's pretty powerful; however, it is difficult to use the outcomes as a piece of academic evidence because the algorithm of HEEDS (SHERPA) is not disclosed to users.
