I have recorded temperature dependent PL spectra of a hybrid perovskite sample from 10K to 200K. Three peaks are showing up at 10K. As temperature increases, the lowest energy peak faces rapid decrease in intensity and finally of vanishes after 40K . Remaining to peaks keeps on losing intensity but stays till 200K. How can I find corresponding emission mechanisms with these peaks?
Hi Pryabrata, your PL versus temperature data really only tells you about the trapping occurring in your material. At 10K there will be very little trapping occurring so you will see evidence of all radiative recombination centers in your material. As the temperature increases you see more and more traps becoming active and starve your radiative recombination centers of charge.
A technique such as: Optically detected X-ray absorption spectroscopy allows you to better probe the source of the luminescence itself. Otherwise it has to be inferred by what you know about the chemistry of the material and the different energy levels in it.

PL versus temperature data tells us about the transitions occurring by traps occurs in your material. At very low temperature, say, at10K, very few traps are active. As the temperature increases from lower to higher temperature, more and more traps are actively participate and as a result, radiative recombination centers of charge can be seen.
