I have modeled 1/8th of the pressure tank and have applied 6MPa internal pressure on it. The solution is viewed using symmetry in Abaqus. But now i have to consider its weight. I have applied GRAV load in Z direction but due to symmetry the result are incorrect.
Can anyone help me with it ASAP.

Try to model full tank instead of 1/8th and see if you get different results. Tushar Doshi
When you use the symmetric simulation, your loading and your geometry must be symmetric. If the gravity is symmetric, when you use 1/8th, you shouldn't have problem. because it is volume field. But, If the gravity is not symmetric , your simulation as a symmetric problem is completely wrong.
Have you modeled the support system with full restraining other wise fix one node in the sub model in all directions and rotations as applicable. It then should work.
I found solution that the boundary conditions/loads and gravity are affected by symmetry planes.
If we apply gravity in the Z axis, we cannot have a symmetry plane in XY.
The 1/8th model is the problem. But for 1/4 th of model the gravity load will work fine.
