I am in the finishing stage of my thesis (filed - Consumer Behaviour)

I have an independent variable (measured with multiple factors) and also a dependent variable (also with multiple factors).

To study the impact of independent variable on the dependent variable, I have checked conceptual framework using - Regression analysis & SEM - for the overall sample (size 757) - the model fit holds good.

I now would like to further study the impact of the different level of independent variable on the dependent variable.

For this I had used quartiles (inter-quartile range) , labeled high, medium & low for both independent & dependent variables - and used chi-square to check the impact.

It shows strong positive impact.

I would like a better statistical measure / tool to establish this relationship / impact - I seek suggestions - would Discriminatory Analysis be appropriate?

If yes, how to apply Discriminant Analysis, mode to apply and interpretation of results?

I am using SPSS software.
