You use the mass (weight) of the deposited material for the basis for the calculation of the current load (or mass normalised current).
For calculation of the area normalized capacitance, first you need to determine the capacitance of the whole electrode from the GCD result using the following equation:
C = It/U
where i is the total current you applied, t is the time of the discharging branch, and U is the potential change of the discharging branch in the time of t.
Then, the area normalised capacitance is simply calculated as follow.
Ca = C/A
where A is the geometric area of the electrode substrate.

Sir can you please further explain that how to calculate/find out mass normalized current?? and what is potential change? is it the final potential minus initial potential or average potential or total potential that is used during the discharge branch in the time of t ?
Mass normalised current is the measured current divided by the mass of the active materials loaded on the electrode. The unit is usually A/g. (Some papers mistakenly call it current density.)
The potential change for capacitance calculation is that you used to measure the charge passed in either CV (current-potential) or GCD (potential-time). In GCD, it is the difference between the final and initial potentials.
