Actually I'm using a PVDF-TrFE(TrFE 30%) powder with solvent(DMF or MEK). My goal is to make over 240micron meter PVDF-TrFE films.
Before that process, I need to analyze the films figure.
With the comparing evaporization of solvent between Room temperature and 60 ℃, film has different figure.(Opaque when Troom, Transparent when 60 ℃ )
I'm confused with this situation. How to analyze this figure?
At room temperature, the solvent evaporation rate, curing rate is low. Therefore, its creating relatively large pore size having more air and unreacted starting materials having almost zero transmittance of visible light resulting opacity of the film. I would recommend to wash the film obtained at room temperature by soxlet extraction. At 60 degrees the processes are faster than room temperature provide transparent film. You can analyze both the films with laser scattering, ATIR, EDX, XRD, SEM analysis.

By the way, when I using the DMF(Tb=153 degree), evaporized with more high temperature(60 degree->100 degree), that is opaque than lower degree.
How could I analyze this result?
