Hi,
I want to increase the number of readers who read my work and my published papers whether now or in the future when i publish more papers (I hope so) .. Are there a certain steps that i should follow? I know that it depends more on the material itself ... but in the same field of my work, I see people who have 20,000 or 30,000 readers for example and hence more citations.
Give me advice my dear colleagues or steps that may help me in achieving this goal in the future.

Just publish good quality work in reputable journals and your popularity will take care of itself lol :)
There are many strategies for improving the impact of your research. I had a similar issue about 5 years ago, even though I was producing high-quality research I was having 0 impact. The changes I made were as follows:
1. Publish in open access journals. You can then upload those copies to the likes of Research Gate, SSRN, etc. When there are accessible copies, then more people will be able to read your work.
2. Write review papers, commentaries, society newsletter pieces to generate familiarity in your field for your name. People may then look you up, or recognise your name if one of your papers come up in a search in say Google Scholar. Also, these papers will be great to have on your cv while waiting for empirical research to come to fruition.
3. Publish regularly regardless of 'top journal-ness' to any peer-reviewed journal outlet. The number of publications, and the frequency will increase your download and potential citation factor.
4. Choose a maximum of three research themes, preferably in cognate areas and work on those. Develop your author name for those topics and keep within the range of those topics for 7-10 years. Familiarity will help other researchers identify you with a topic, and thus cite you.
5. Put yourself out there re database, social research profiles etc. - your RG Score, your Google Scholar citation score, SSRN ranking etc will grow once you invest time in monitoring and developing your profiles.
6. Conference talks are an excellent way of meeting people in your field. When your papers come out - they will remember you!

Simply you may share the link of your article on different academic and social networks such as RG, Academia, FB, ..ect
Publish your article in high impact factor journals, share your work in Research Gate (RG), Academia and other social networking also.
If you go for open-access journal many publishers will charge high Article Processing Charges (APC)
