How this error in Ansys-Fluent can be solved?
FLUENT received fatal signal (FLT_INVALID_OPERATION)
1. Note exact events leading to error.
2. Save case/data under new name.
3. Exit program and restart to continue.
4. Report error to your distributor.

I’m working on numerical analysis of flow characteristics around permeable groynes.
Permeable groynes were made of cylindrical tubes.
I have used Gambit to create the geometry and mesh, generally I have used quad-map and hex-map meshes
but in the regions close to the groynes quad-pave and Tet-hybrid/hex core (T grid) were applied.
The model is an open channel model, multi-phase VOF (water + air) with K-epsilon turbulence.
Boundary conditions for channel entrance, top boundary and outlet are pressure inlet and pressure outlet.
Flow depth and discharge is known at outlet.
How can I resolve this problem?

Not easy to answer without more precise elements on the configuration... Anyway a good simulation often starts with a good mesh. So trying to remesh the configuration often solve many problems encountered by Fluent solver. You can use "check" functionalities in Fluent which will provide some advices for a best mesh or for best settings. Usually it can also be useful, especially for steady configuration, to have a convergence strategy, for instance using less physics at the beginning or using 1st order numerical schemes to prevent Fluent from fatal crash. Depending on the complexity of the set-up, things will be more or less easy to solve... My global message for mesh remains: "don't hesitate to remesh". I also suggest you isolate the physical model responsible for the error: is it working without turbulence, or with only one phase without VOF, ... Good luck !
If there is no problem with the mesh, check if the system works with the mixture model (not VOF). if it does, then check the storage part on your computer, it may be full. This issue happen to me before and was caused by the storage space.
