I have tried making 0.5mg/ml of cisplatin in 0.9% NaCl (w/v) solution, but I can't get cisplatin to dissolve. I have even tried lower concentrations and still would not completely dissolve. Do I need to heat up the solution? Increase NaCl? Would that affect the stability of cisplatin?

Like in other cases you should try first select an organic solvent that has high solubility like DMF in the case, and add this solution to a saline. You have to dilute more. So that it would be dissolved. For example, if you want to make 5mM concentration, you may dissolve 3 mg cisplatin in 2ml 0.9% NaCl. I was succeeded.
Md. Morshedul Alam your answer is not logical. You tell the questioning person to dilute further, but then suggest a even higher concentrated solution.... (1.5 mg/ml.....)
Cisplatin was dissolved completely in the water when I prepared 5mM under 65 C water bath for15 to 30mints with gentle vortex.
Hi,
I would like to use Cisplatin model with a single dose in mice ip. However I have difficulty to dissolve the products. I add 25ml of saline 0.9% to 50mg of Cisplatin to have 2mg/mL for in vivo use. We have some precipitate after resuspension. Please do you have some tips ? As well we freeze the solution as it says in the datasheet. Do you if freezing affects the stability of the product ?
