Hi everyone,
I am trying to simulate expansion of a coronary stent under uniform internal radial pressure.
actually I want to simulate only one sixth of it because
it is symmetrical in circumferential direction, but when I set cyclic symmetry interaction for the surfaces in the attached photo (these are the faces connected to the next identical component in circumferential direction) or use symmetry boundary condition in cylindrical coordinates for those faces, I cannot get the same answers compared to full simulation. Can anyone help me to overcome this problem and use symmetry correctly in my simulation?
(both simulations are half of the stent in longitudina direction.)
