I know that shear bands cause fracture and strain localization. I am looking for a detailed explanation of the role of shear bands on mechanical performance of microstructures especially in FCC microstructures...
1. change of grain morphology .
2. The hardness of material will be increased, however it will decrease with higher annealing temperature.

First of all thank you so much for your comment on my post. It's an honor to have your perspective on this problem. I went through your comment and the attached papers. The following took my attention:
According to your comment "... shear banding is initiated by a mechanical instability that contains band-like dislocation cells or twin-matrix lamellae as well as high local orientation changes at the border between the band and the matrix. "
and also
" The development of brass-type shear bands is associated with two important microstructure phenomena. One is the effect of shear bands on local texture evolution with increasing strain. The other is their role in transforming the twin-matrix lamellae to a nano-scaled structure inside the bands. "
I also saw in the first paper you attached here, in Fig 9, when the shear band effect is added the low SFE material becomes softer and the model prediction is not as close to the experiment as it is for the one with Slip model. My point is I believe the nano-grain size in the shear band should increase the strength while the ductility (strain) of the sample can change in comparison with the homogenized microstructure depends on the location of the shar bands in the sample (I'm attaching two of my papers here that shows this behavior). In these papers I modeled the shear bands by designing gradient microstructures and applying crystal plasticity formulation while in your papers you have the extra 6 slip modes for shear bands. What I am traying to conclude is that maybe combination of extra slip modes and the gradient of microstructure can be a better model to predict the experimental results. I love to discuss this further with you in case we may can have a collaboration work on a paper.
