I would like to study the docetaxel release from Nanofibers/3D Scaffolds where docetaxel is not soluble in water so which is the preferable medium to conduct in vitro drug release study at pH 7.4. Can someone help me out?
Thank you so much for your suggestion. But, If the Polymeric nanofibers we fabricate itself is of soluble in DMSO:Buffer (0.5:10) or any other ratio what would be the other system to study? Since DMSO is highly polar solvent
For biological studies DMSO, alcohol and dioxane can be mixed with your buffer. In your case, may be alcohol or Dioxane which are less polar solvents than DMSO can play the desired role.
Thank u for suggesting alcohol. If we use 3:7 / 5:5 Alcohol:buffer is there any problem apart from the evaporation of alcohol or pH change due to the evaporation of alcohol?
u meant to say adding tween or anyother surfactant where the drug soluble? I have not tried any such thing. will that work? wont it cause any problem in the release kinetics profile?
