I have mixed experience about the time required for publishing in the good social science journals. Some cases, they took about 8-12 month from initial submission to the final acceptance. In few cases waiting time was over 1.5 year.

In a recent article published in Nature, it has stated that " Publication practices and waiting times also vary widely by discipline — with social sciences being notoriously slow. In physics, the pressure to publish fast is reduced because of the common practice of publishing preprints..."

Hence, I request your views about average time frame required for publishing in social science (especially Management Science) journals.

Thanks,
