I am using spy gene qPCR for detection of asymptomatic Group A streptococcal carriers. A Ct value of less than or equal to 37 is taken as positive. Is this the right way?

Is there any specific criteria in terms of no. of bacteria/ DNA copy number to confirm the carrier status?

In case of an infection, the presence of bacterium itself is predictive but in case of carriers will this be applicable?
