Assuming that there are no chemical buffers present, can anyone confirm that if I want to convert the pH of a basic solution to the pH of an acidic solution then the amount of a monoprotic acid that I need to add is:

10-pOH – 10-7 + 10-pH – 10-7

= 10-pOH + 10-pH – 2*10-7 equivalents.

where pOH = 14 – the pH of the basic solution, and pH = the pH of the acidic solution.
