For my experimental study I created a course material for the visually challenged and implemented it by designing a learning model. Both are unique. Should I write two hypotheses, one for the course material and one for the learning model? Or should I combine both considering it as two steps involved in a single project? I receive mixed suggestions from my colleagues. Looking for experts' advice. There is one more aspect. It is something like - Unique material, Unique learning mode, Better outcome, Better placement. I think that your hypothesis or hypotheses are about outcomes resulting from your methodology.
You could have research questions about both the materials and learning model. But for hypotheses, do you have separate outcome predictions that can be traced tot he learning materials and to the learning model? If so, two hypotheses may be OK. If the outcome prediction requires both components, then maybe only one hypothesis.
It sounds to me like you have one basic hypothesis: That an intervention based on your specific curriculum will have an impact on whatever dependent variables you have targeted.
I agree with both Michael Marek and David Morgan. Moreover, the number of hypothesis is not the crucial issue in a study. You can go for any option, as long as they fulfill your research goals.
Let‘s take a step back. Is your phenomenon so controlled that you can comfortably adopt the hypothetico-deductive frame?
