In my study i hypothesized demographic variables as covariate for mediation analysis. But when i enter all these demographic variable as a covariate the spss gives Error and does not run the analysis. I dont know whether this error is due to many covariates or any other reason.IF there is any limit fo covariates to include in analysis?

You can always regress the DV on covariates in advance of processing the data in the PROCESS macro, and save the residuals to be used in the subsequent analysis. For demographic variables that might be categorical (and include more than two levels), be sure you dummy code these before entering them as a covariate or IV. In this way, there's no real limit other than sample size (technically, inclusion of each additional covariate or dummy variate costs 1 df from the error term).

I consider that you should group the demographic variables separately if you use PROCESS because you will not be able to differentiate the specific effect of each one, so I recommend using the free program JAMOVI that has the option of factoring each category so you can evaluate the differential effects by socio-demographic group, which evaluates all the simultaneous indirect routes (for this covariate grouped) at the same time you can add other IV for your model
