I came across a zoonotic disease that is spread by the closest pet that is seen to be safest; - a 'pet CAT'. Toxoplasmosis is a highly infectious and fatal disease that can be of public health concern. The consequences of this disease might be missed in several cases such as congenital conditions including encephalitis, hydrocephalus and some unknown abortions. I wish to review the impact of this disease to pregnant mothers in East Africa for the last 5 years.
I also want to compare the impact of the same in East Africa with USA.

Good luck with your research, but I think that it is so hard to collect accurate data from African countries. Most of these countries don't have genetic tests for confirming infectious diseases in animals. Moreover, veterinary hospitals and clinics in Africa rarely have records of diseased animal.
