I am synthesizing TiO2 film. I believe that after calcination of TiO2 at 600 0C. there is a formation of oxygen vacancies related to Ti+3. I am verifying my statement by giving XPS results in which the binding energy of Ti2P and O1s are slightly shifted towards lower binding energy values, after the calcination process, which i think suggests the formation of oxygen vacancies. Am I right?
