Regarding that normality of Folin Ciocalteu is between 1.9 - 2.1 N. I've prepared 1 N Folin Ciocalteu diluting 10 ml F-C in 10 ml H2O (1:2). How do I check that 1N F-C is well prepared? For example, 0.1N HCl is standardized with NaOH to check that HCl normality is the nearest to 0.1 N.

Hi Silva you can do that by using sodium hydroxide to neutrilzed the acids phosphoric and hydrochloric which are part of the reagent usually 2M good luck
Yes, I agree with the answer of Hunaiti. The concentration is checked by titration of Folin reagent diluted 10-fold with 0.1 N NaOH (with phenolphtalein). The Folin solution should be kept in dark. After 2-3 month, add 2 or 3 drops of bromine and boil again.
Could you please recommend a procedure for this, please? Actually, I didn't know that there was a methodology to standardize Folin Ciocalteu. I can't wait to go to the laboratory and try it.

Regarding that Folin Ciocalteu pH is < 0.5, titration with sodium hydroxide is recommended. For example, F-C is prepared to 1N. To check its concentration, phenolphtalein is added and it is titrated with NaOH until an end-point. Calculation is: NaOH (N) x V (L) = F-C (N) x V (L)
