July 29, 2019, Ethiopians planted over 353 million seedlings of different tree species, and by doing so, Ethiopians broke a new World record of planting large number of trees on single day.

My question is if planting trees and shrubs really helps reduce the effects of global warming; if so how much would the impact be in some figurative terms; and if there is any success stories from elsewhere in the world.

Please, do share research and review articles published on these and related matters. Thank you!
